SFHQ-C Troops Spearhead ‘Shramadana’ Campaign

A ‘Shramadana’ campaign was conducted during April 2-3 at the sacred ‘Sri Pada’ area by the troops of the 11 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C).

“Collect garbage of Sri Pada area and Dispose it” is the main theme of the programme.

This was launched to be in line with the ‘Parisaraya Poojaniyai’ programme held in this year too, on the directions of the Agricultural and Environmental Ministries.

A total of 300 students of the University of Peradeniya members of the Ambagamuwa AG Office, members of Dikoya Municipal Council at Hatton, the PHI in Ambagamuwa area, including the troops of the Special Task Force (STF) and Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) also participated in the programme.

Mr Sarath Ekanayake, Chief Minister, Central Province participated in it as the Chief Guest. Members of the Government and Non-government organizations also contributed to the event.
