SFHQ-C Troops Celebrate Its 3rd Anniversary

Troops serving Divisions, Brigades, Army Training Schools and Units of the Security Force Headquarters – Central (SFHQ-C) organized several programmes to coincide with their third anniversary during 13-14 March.

On Sunday (13), troops organized a religious programme at the Bodhikanda Viharaya, Diyatalawa. Ven Medamulana Vijayabodhi thero who resides at Bodhikanda Viharaya invoked blessings on the Army and the troops after conduct of the Bodhi Pooja.

The following day (March 14), Major General A. P. De Z Wickramaratne, Commander, SFHQ-C visited 7 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) troops where he was received in a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour by SLSC troops.

The visiting Commander afterwards addressed the troops and joined the troops to share refreshments at the Warrant Officers (WOs) mess.

Finally, the day’s programme culminated with an all rank lunch where the SF Commander, together with General Officer Commanding (GOCs), Brigade Commanders, officers and sat with other ranks of the SFHQ-C for partaking.

Officers and Other Ranks of the 3 SLNG actively participated in the programme.
