A cooking competition, organized by the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) to select best cooks serving the SFHQ- C units was held on Tuesday (01) at the SFHQ- C auditorium.
The cooking competition has been designed primarily to improve culinary and cookery methods in the Army qualitatively and enhance the knowledge of Army cooks, following instructions given by Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army.
Out of 31 competitors, 2 Army cooks and 2 Civil cooks were selected as best under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel H. D. J. P. Weerathunge of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, General Staff Officer 1 at the SFHQ-C.
All four finalists have been qualified to present their skills in the final round in a few weeks.
