Inmates at S.K Aruchcholai Home for Boys in Kilinochchi had a day of entertainment and fun when the troops of the 16 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) of the 57 Division under the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) called at the Home for Boys on Tuesday (2) to mark the dawn of the New Year.
The day filled with entertainment features was organized under the patronage of Major General Jagath Gunawardhana, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division and with the supervision of Brigade Commander, 571 Brigade, Colonel Ajith Kolambathanthri.
Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN), Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The chief guest was warmly welcomed by the inmates and the staff.
A delicious lunch was served to all inmates and the staff while ‘Supper Hakels’ beat group provided live entertainment during the occasion. The dancing team ‘Sath Ranga’ performed, together with ‘Supper Hackels’ to make the event an unforgettable one for the inmates.
At the end of the arrangement, Commander, SF-KLN and Other guests gave away gift packs to all the inmates.
