SF-J Commemorates Poson at Sri Naga Vihara Premises

Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) organized a glamorous and fascinating exhibition of lanterns on Poson Full Moon day (2) on account of Poson commemoration. Thousands of sight-seers flocked together to the Sri Naga Vihara premises to witness the magnificent lanterns.

A Bodhi Pooja was held at the Palaly Bo Maluwa in the morning. At the same time, 300 Army personnel observed Sil at Sri Naga Vihara premises and Jaffna troops offered alms to all devotees. In the meantime, Army personnel of the SFHQ-J shared Buddhist virtues of generosity opening a rice and tea ‘Dansela’. The free eatery attracted many Poson sight-seers and poor families who came to see Poson decorations on account of the Poson poya.  

Chief Incumbent of Sri Naga Vihara Ven. Meegahakandure Gnanarathana Thero and Major General Nandana Udawatte, Commander, SFHQ-J gave their support to make the Poson commemoration a great success.
