Seva Vanitha Pre-Schools Conduct their Annual Concerts

SEVA Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) conducts seven pre-schools across the island and nearly 600 small children from Army families continue to receive primary education.

With a view to promoting their born talents and aesthetic skills, the SVAB annually organizes variety concerts in each pre-school for kids learning there.

Concerts for the year 2009 were organized on 7th, 9th and 10th August in Colombo, Kandy and Diyatalawa.

Children of Viru Daru in Manning town, Viru Kekulu in Kosgama, Ran Tharu in Galle, Ran Keti in Panagoda and Senehasa special school in Panagoda exhibited their skills in the concert organized at John De Silva Memorial Theatre, Maradana on 7th instant. 

Meanwhile, small girls and boys attending Viru Kekulu pre school in Kandy and Viru Daru pre school in Diayatalawa showed their talents in the events, organized in Kandy Dharmaraja College auditorium on 9th August and Sri Lanka Military Academy Ella auditorium on 10th respectively.

Occasions organized under guidance of the President SVAB Mrs. Manjulika Jayasuriya was attended by former SVAB President Mrs. Anoma Fonseka as Chief Guest and Senior Seva Vanitha members and parents.

Most of the fathers of those children are presently serving in the north, east and Wanni.
