On an initiative taken by the 23 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E), more than 300 school children and about 700 Army personnel recently sat together at Welikanda Maha Vidyalaya to listen to a lecture on ‘Youth and Love’.
This educative lecture, planned and organized by the 23 Division Headquarters, following a suggestion, mooted by Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, General Officer Commanding, 23 Division, was delivered by Mrs Rathna Pushpakumari, a Consultant in Human Empowerment.
Education authorities in Welikanda area have recommended the children at Welikanda Maha Vidyalaya to listen to the timely lecture which is central to the teenagers in the school.
Towards the end of the lecture, attendees had the liberty of interacting with the lecturer and posing questions to her.
