An awareness programme on’ Disaster Management’ was launched by the troops at the 112 Brigade serving under the Security Force Headquarters-Central (SFHQ-C) at the Ambagasdowa President’s College, Welimada on Friday (3).
The programme was conducted under several stages covering security precautions, need to be taken in case of emergencies.
An Officer and 10 Other Ranks, together with the Disaster Management Centre in Welimada, Police, and the hospital at Uva-Paranagama conducted the programme.
Principal in the school and a total of 2900 students and teachers witnessed the programme.
