The Army’s state-of-the-art Ranaviru Resource Centre (RRC) at Hekitta, Wattala where disable Army personnel and those scheduled to retire from the Army are receiving vocational training, prior to their retirement, had its year-end get-together at the Uswetakeiyawa beach on Wednesday (30).
12 Officers and 85 vocational trainees on the directions of Brigadier W.H.M Manathunga, Commandant, RRC met with one another during the friendly meet and had a full day on the beach up until the evening where fun-making features were also presented.
The RRC provides skill training in the field of mechanics, carpentry, IT and computer technology, electronics, horticulture, electrical work, domestic industry, etc with the objective of producing them to be vocationally qualified personnel upon their retirement.
