'Ranaviru Real Star' Finale to Go on the Boards

All 36 final round vocalists of the tri-services, participating in the ‘Ranaviru Real Star (RRS)’ Mission - V, scheduled to be staged next Sunday (11) at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium would be gifted with a new house, it was announced at a media briefing, held by main sponsors, Dialog Axiata PLC, Softlogic Holdings PLC and Toyota Lanka Ltd. The event is organized with the coordination of the Ministry of Defence.  

The press briefing was attended by Minister of Parliament Reforms and Mass Media, Mr Gayantha Karunathilaka (MP), Secretary Defence, Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Chief of Defence Staff, Army, Navy and Air Force Commanders, Chief Executive Officers of Dialog Axiata PLC, Softlogic Holdings PLC and Toyota Lanka Ltd, Navy and Air Force Chiefs of Staff and a few others.

Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation’s (SLRC) live telecast of the country’s pioneering reality show will begin at 7.00 p.m. onwards on Sunday before a panel of music experts as in previous years. The winners will be selected partly on the basis of popular SMS counts and the discretion of the panel (60%).

The winner of Ranaviru Real Star - Mission V would be the proud recipient of Rs 20 million worth luxurious house while the 1st runner-up will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1 million plus a brand new Avanza car, worth Rs 6 million from Toyota Lanka. The third winner would receive a cash prize of Rs. 2 million. The final 36 competitors will each receive a new house with household items to the value of Rs 1.2 million.
