The Centre for Army Vocational Training (CAVT) at Saliyawewa in its 7th phase of free distribution of spectacles for needy civilians, held another mobile eye clinic at Andiyagala Rajamaha Viharaya, Rajanganaya on Wednesday (23).
Dr Nimal Weerakoon of Kandy Opticals (Pvt) Ltd donated 10 more pairs of spectacles to students with sight impairments at Mahasen Maha Vidyalaya, Rajanganaya at the request of Brigadier Randula Hathnagoda, Commandant, CAVT.
At the same time, Kandy Opticals (Pvt) Ltd gave away free reading glasses to 133 affected people who reached the mobile clinic after examining their eyes.
Temple Incumbent at Andiyagala Rajamaha Viharaya, Brigadier Randula Hathnagoda, Commandant, CAVT, Lieutenant Colonel, V.D.S Perera, Commanding Officer, CAVT, Divisional Secretary, Rajanganaya, Government Officials in the area and several others were present during this community programme.
