One more consignment of push bicycles, school accessories, garments, wheelchairs, hospital equipment, etc donated by supporters at Singapore Buddhist Library, was distributed among civilians in Vavuniya area on Monday (4).
The gesture of goodwill, organized regularly by Ven Bellanwila Dhammaratana Nayaka Thero, Advisor to Singapore Buddhist Library and Chief Incumbent, Bellanwila Raja Maha Vihara, is meant for needy students and civilians in the area. The simple ceremony for distribution of those items took place at the Educational Centre, Mathavaithyakulam, Vavuniya with the participation of Brigadier P.M.S.A Pallemulla, 211 Brigade Commander.
Ven Dhammaratana Thero, Ven Boralesgamuwe Pemaratana Thero and Brigadier Pallemulla distributed those items at Vavuniya. Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni has helped selection of the most wanted students and civilians from Vavuniya area. A large gathering of civilians and a team of donors from Singapore attended the occasion.
