Productive Sessions at OCDC Draw to a Close

The two-day academic sessions, themed on ‘Changing Security Landscape: Role of Sri Lankan Forces’ at the Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) at Buttala, drew to a close this evening (25) as scheduled after chairpersons in the Session 3, Session 4 and Session 5 moderated the sessions evoking interest among the attendees.

Major General Ajith Wijesinghe, Prof Shantha K Hennayake and Major General Aruna Jayasekara contributed respectively to the symposium, bringing technological aspects, geo-political interests and challenges to Sri Lankan armed forces into discussion as Chairpersons in the three Sessions.

All three sessions were separately addressed by panelists, Mr Asantha Senevirathna, Mr Sanath De Silva, Brigadier G.V Ravipriya, Brigadier M.D.U.V Gunatilleka, Colonel S.A Kulathunga and Lieutenant Colonel K.V.P Dhammika in addition to the contribution made by those chairpersons.

The vote of thanks proposed by the Chief Instructor at OCDC brought the sessions to an end.
