Pride of Signallers in the Army Opens at BMICH

Corps of Signals of the Sri Lanka Army on Wednesday (28) ceremonially begins its prestigious International Symposium on Cyber Security - ‘Wave’ and the ICT Exhibition at the BMICH premises, to coincide with its 75th Anniversary.

HE the President, Maithripala Sirisena at the invitation of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake will add dignity to the inauguration of the mega event by his presence as the Chief Guest.

A panel of local and international experts including, Lieutenant General Rajeev Sabherwal, Signal Officer-In-Chief & Colonel Commandant, Indian Army, Major General JJ Cole Obe, Director of Information, British Army, Major General Hafeez Ur Rehman, SO in C Pakistan Army, Brigadier General Shaikh Muhammad Rizwan Ali, Commander 86 Independent Signal Brigade, Bangladesh Army, Eng Dr Chandana Gamage, Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana, the Founder & Chairman of WSO2, Prof. Zhai Lidong, Director of Network Security Laboratory of China Electronics Import and Export Co. Ltd, Mr. Goh Eng Choon, Deputy President Cybersecurity Systems Group, ST Engineering Electronics and EVP/GM ST Electronics (Info-Security) Pte Ltd, Eng. Roshan Chandraguptha, Principal Information Security Engineer at the Sri Lanka CERT/CC, Mr Boshan Dayarathna, Group Director/CEO, CICRA Holdings and Gaurav Agarwal, Managing Director at Symantec are expected to deliver lectures during symposium sessions.
