Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) held its preliminary cricket matches in the Army Inter Battalion 20/20 Cricket (Tennis) Tournament-2015 in two separate grounds at the SFHQ-West area during 26 August - 4 September on the directions of Major General Ubaya Medawela, Commander, SFHQ-West.
A total of 35 teams competed for the championship where 14 (V) and 6 (V) Corps of Engineer Services (CES) qualified for the finals.
The finals were held on 04 September at the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) grounds, Panagoda. Major General K.C. Gunawardana, General Officer Commanding, 58 Division graced the finals as the Chief Guest. In the finals, 14 (V) CES beat 6 (V) CES to emerge as champions.
Private L.P. Nihal Kumara of 6 (V) CES became the player of the tournament while Private S.M. Hewasinghe of 16 (V) CES was adjudged the Best Bowler in the tournament. Private W.A.S. Christie of 14 (V) CES clinched the Best Batsman Award.
The Chief Guest gave away the trophies to the winners and runners-up.
