More than 70 Army personnel of Brigades and Battalions under command to the 66 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), responding positively to a request of the Provincial Blood Bank at Kilinochchi District Hospital swiftly donated blood for the use of patients in Kilinochchi District during a recent arrangement at the Main Dressing Station at the 66 Division Headquarters.
The provincial Blood Bank at the Kilinochchi District Hospital, affected by shortage of blood reached out to Major General Ralph Nugera, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN) in search of the requirement since less civilians are coming forward to give blood. Brigadier Mangala Wijesundara, General Officer Commanding, 66 Division coordinated the humanitarian project.
Dr H. M. D. R. B Hindagoda of the Kilinochchi District Hospital with his team came to the 66 Division Headquarters in Pooneryn and received those blood stocks from volunteering soldiers of the 66 Division. Nike footwear | Nike
