Poomalanthan Re-settlers Receive New Houses

Five more new houses, built by Army troops at Poomalanthan Grama Seva Division in Madhu area for re-settled people were vested with them during a simple ceremony on Friday (21).

613 Brigade which has undertaken the task of building houses for resettled people who had their own land blocks in those respective areas, built those five houses as the first phase of the project with the blessings of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) which has implemented the programme to re-settle 47 families who have their own land blocks and 64 more families who are without their own land, but lived in those areas for generations in rented homes or elsewhere.
    
The project completed within a matter of one month received the support of respective Divisional Secretariats.
    
Troops of 26 Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 24 Gajaba Regiment under the supervision of 613 Brigade Commander were involved in the project.
