The annual innovative exhibition, 'Palmyra Ingenuity - 2018', an attempt to stimulate creative and innovative skills, inherent among Army personnel got underway for two days at Jaffna Weerasingham Hall during 10 - 11 May.
The exhibition, comprised of a large collection of new exhibits and innovative products that have been produced by Army personnel was visited by a large gathering of Jaffna civilians including undergrads and students. It was held for the third consecutive year with the blessings of the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi.
This experiment of learning, combined with creative thinking and innovations selected the best three and awarded appreciative gifts by the Commander, SF-J.
Corporal H.G.T Pushpakumara of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Corporal D.P.W Dissanayake of 14 Gemunu Regiment and Corporal J.P.S.D De Silva of 552 Brigade Headquarters respectively won the first three places in the production of exhibits.
Religious leaders, government officials, teachers, parents, a large number of school children and military personnel visited the exhibition on both days.
