The 21 member delegation of Pakistan National Defence University (NDU) who were recently in Sri Lanka headed by Major General Noel Israel Khokhar recently visited Jaffna peninsula.
During the visit, the delegation arrived at the Security Forces Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J) and met Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, SFHQ-J.
The visit, a part of Pakistan’s NDU curriculum, aims to gain an overview of the defence, economic, foreign and domestic policies of Sri Lanka and explores areas of mutual interest and cooperation in various spheres.
At the end of the visit, they toward in the Jaffna town and its historical places.
At the same evening, the delegation arrived in Kandy.
Brigadier A.W.M.A.W.N Ranawana, General Officer Commanding, 11 Division warmly welcomed the delegation at Victoria Golf Grounds in Kandy.
During the visit, the delegation visited the Temple of Tooth and Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.
