Pakistan Chief of Naval Staff Now in Sri Lanka on Tour Calls on Commander

Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila, HI (M) L’Honneur NI (M), Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan, now in Sri Lanka at the invitation of the Navy,  paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake on Friday (13)  afternoon at Army Headquarters.

Major General L.B.R. Mark, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Mullativu, Brigadier D.T. Gamage, Director Personnel Administration of Army Headquarters received the visiting Navy Chief of Pakistan and ushered him to the Commander’s Office.

A Guard of Honour at the Army Headquarters premises presented arms and saluted the visiting Pakistan Navy Chief on arrival in accordance with military traditions.    

At the entrance to the Commander’s Secretariat, senior Army officers, including Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General E.P. De Z Abeysekara were introduced to the visiting Navy Chief and his delegation.     

During the cordial meeting that ensued, both Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila and Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake shared views on a several current issues that are relevant to both organizations and the country at large.

Towards the end of the courtesy meeting, both of them exchanged mementos.
