HE Major General (Retd) Syed Shakeel, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka in his presentation to the Day 1 Seminar sessions on Tuesday (1) expressed that his country is always prepared to make peace with other nations.
“Pakistan seeks peaceful and cooperative relations with the entire global community to acquire its rightful place in the comity of nations”, the High Commissioner for Pakistan said.
“We hope to achieve our full economic potential by maintaining internal and regional stability to become trade and energy corridor between South Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East”, HE Major General Shakeel said.
In his presentation, he dwelt on following sub themes; Extremism and Terrorism, Internal stability, Energy security, Population growth, Drug trafficking, Sustainable development, Inter state relations, Regional cooperation, Regional connectivity, Relations with India, Nuclear security/ energy, UN reforms, Climate change, etc.
