Outgoing Korean Ambassador Greets Commander

The outgoing Ambassador for Republic of Korea, Mr Arjuna Jongmoon Choi, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake Tuesday (25) evening before his departure on the completion of his tenure in Sri Lanka.

Mr Jongmoon Choi during his three-year long stint in Sri Lanka took much interest in promoting bilateral relations while assisting very much towards economic prosperity and cultural revival of the country.

Lieutenant General Ratnayake, recalling the diplomat’s contribution here with gratitude, thanked him for offering various exchange programmes, course opportunities, etc to the Sri Lanka Army during his stay here. Commander also mentioned about Mr Jongmoon Choi’s personal initiatives, regarding telecasting of Korean tele films for the greater benefit of children and the society in general.     

While thanking for his diplomatic assistance to the country, the Commander towards the end of the cordial meeting presented him with a memento. The gesture was reciprocated by the outgoing ambassador.
