Outgoing Bangladesh Defence Adviser Calls at SFHQ-J & SFHQ-KLN

Defence Adviser for High Commission of Bangladesh in Sri Lanka, Commodore S Aslam Parvez on the eve of his departure after completion of the tenure of his office in Sri Lanka paid courtesy calls to the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) and Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Friday (21).

Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna received the outgoing Bangladesh Defence Adviser on arrival at the SFHQ-J and exchanged pleasantries with him, recalling different aspects of interest to both of them.

Similarly, they shared views in relation to the ongoing reconciliation programme and focused on measures that need to be adopted in elevating the livelihood of people in the Jaffna peninsula.

After the discussion, Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, SF-J and Commodore S Aslam Parvez Defence Adviser, High Commission of Bangladesh exchanged mementos as tokens of goodwill.

On his way back, the outgoing Bangladesh Defence Adviser called at the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) in order to extend courtesies.

At the SFHQ-KLN Headquarters, Brigadier Jagath Ratnayake, Brigadier General Staff, SFHQ-KLN representing the Commander, SF-KLN, welcomed the visiting Defence Adviser before a friendly discussion on matters of interest ensued.

Towards the conclusion of the interactive discussion, Brigadier Ratnayake presented a memento to the visiting Defence Adviser and invited him to leave some compliments in the visitors’ book at the SFHQ-KLN as long-lasting memories of his visit to the SFHQ-KLN.
