Only Four COVID-19 Cases Reported in Last 24 Hours - NOCPCO

As stated yesterday (5) the UL 1206 Sri Lankan Flight is scheduled to arrive in Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in a few hours (6) from Hamburg, Germany with expatriates, comprised of 236 civil ship crew stranded in foreign ports. A statement issued this morning (6) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickremasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

338 more individuals upon completion of quarantine process at Hotel Blue Waters Quarantine Centre (16), Iranamadu (70), Galkanda (46), Pitipana Service Corps (159), Ayurvedic Hospital Rajagiriya (42) and Nipuna Boossa (05) will leave for their homes after conduct of PCR tests today (6) with Quarantine Certificates.

By today (6), a total of 11,733 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.

As of now, 5,216 persons are still in quarantine in 45 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.

By this morning (6.00 am) 4 more COVID 19 positive cases, 2 from Bangladesh and 2 among sailors were reported.
