The second batch of the Lebanon-bound Sri Lanka Army's 12th Force Protection Company (FPC) for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) left the island early this morning (19).
The 34-member group out of a designed contingent of 150 Army personnel will take up their duties in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) shortly.
The first group of 16 Army personnel left for the UN Mission on Sunday (18). The remaining members of the FPC are scheduled to leave the country on 6 March 2018.
