Officiating 58 Division GOC Assumes Office

Brigadier A.M.S.B Attapattu, the officiating General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 58 Division recently assumed office at the 58 Division Headquarters in Boossa.

He is the 10th GOC of the 58 Division. On arrival, a Guard Turnout at the entrance greeted Brigadier Attapattu before he symbolically signed a formal document, amid chanting of Seth Pirith by monks to invoke blessings on the new appointment.

Later on, he planted a sapling in the premises as a token of memory and had a discussion with serving Officers before he addressed the troops. An all rank tea party brought the day’s arrangements to an end.
