T20 cricket match, organized by the Foundation of Goodness was held between Sri Lanka Northern Province under 15 Combined Team versus Australian Hellenic Federation Combined Cricket Team at the Mankulam College play grounds on Thursday (2).
574 Brigade and Gajaba Regiment organized this interesting event with the assistance of Foundation of Goodness, chaired by Mr. Kushil Gunasekera.
Major General Sudantha Ranasingha, Commander Security Force Headquarters- Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) as the guest of honour watched the match and distributed Merit Awards.
General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Commander 571 Brigade and officials of Foundation of Goodness were also present during event. A large number of school children of the area drew together at the playground to witness the cricket match.
Towards the end, members of the Hellenic Federation Combined Cricket Team gifted brand new push bicycles to 14 local players. Finally, two teams exchanged gift items displaying the spirit of the game.
