A formal military ceremony to mark the assumption of office of the new Commander Security Forces - Wanni, Major General Priyantha Perera took place on Friday (23). He is the 21st Commander, Security Forces -Wanni.
As the first segment of the ceremony, a Guard Turnout at the entrance to the premises of the SFHQ - Wanni saluted him before he paid tribute to fallen War Heroes by laying a floral wreath at the Wanni monument in the premises upon welcomed by senior officers. Later on, a Guard of Honour accorded by the troops of 11 GW greeted the newly-appointed Commander, Security Forces-Wanni.
Thereafter, Major General Priyantha Perera planted a mango sapling in front of the Headquarters Office Complex before he took over duties amid religious observances and greetings of GOCs, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers and Staff Officeres at the SFHQ-Wanni. Subsequently, he joined for an all rank tea, organized at the Other Ranks’ Mess at the SFHQ - Wanni.
Commander, FMA (NC), General Officers Commanding of all Divisions, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present there to extend best wishes to the new Wanni Commander. Nike footwear | Sneakers
