New Signal Tower at Walamandiya Training School Opened

A signal tower with new repeater, set up at Walamandiya Training School was opened by Major General C.P Gallage, Director General, Directorate of Infantry who was in the area to inspect a Battalion training session in the same premises on Sunday (5). 

The signal tower was set up at the school as a result of discussions held between the Chief Signal Officer and the Commander, Security Forces - Central (SF-C), Major General A.P De Z Wickramaratne.

During the visit of the Director General Infantry, Major General C.P Gallage declared opened the repeater of the signal tower at the invitation of Major General A.P. De Z Wickramaratne, Commander, SF-C.

Finally, the visiting Director General Infantry left his signature in the Visitors’ Book and planted a sapling at the Training School premises to mark his visit to the training school.
