Troops of the 141 Brigade at Boossa saluted the new Commander, Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) Major General U.A.B Medawela when he formally visited the Brigade Headquarters on Monday (9) after assumption of his office.
He was received by 141 Brigade Commander and ushered to receive the Guard Turn Out in accordance with military traditions as the first item of the agenda. Afterwards, Major General Medawela was introduced to the officers who were present at the occasion, including the 14 Division General Officer Commanding.
An address to the troops, planting of a tree sapling and an all rank tea party culminated the day’s programme. 14 Division functions under the SFHQ-West.
