Major General Jagath Gunawardane of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) took over duties as the new Master General Ordnance (MGO) at the Army Headquarters on Monday (5) during a brief ceremony at his office.
Amidst blessings of members of the Maha Sangha, the new MGO signed a formal document and marked the assumption of his duties. Later on, he spoke to Senior Officers and set out his vision as the new MGO.
Major General Jagath Gunawardane, prior to this new appointment served as the General Officer Commanding, 57 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi.
