New Korean Ambassador Greets Commander

Colombo-based new Ambassador for Republic of Korea Mr Chang Won-sam, showing his goodwill towards the Sri Lanka Army, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake Tuesday (17) afternoon at the Army Headquarters.
 
Mr Chang Won-sam during his interactive meeting, accompanied by Mrs Ji Eun Pyo, the Deputy Head of the Mission / Counsellor, with the Commander of the Army, expressed his appreciation of the work, being done by the Army across the country and achievement of peace for a better country, free from violence.
 
Lieutenant General Ratnayake recalled good relations that prevail between both countries for generations and stressed the need to further enhance cooperation in the future too.
 
An exchange of mementos towards the end of the meeting signified the goodwill and understanding.
 
Mr Chang Won-sam, a graduate in the Seoul National University, Seoul has served the Korean Embassy in the People’s Republic of China as a Minister. He was also a visiting lecturer at China Foreign Affairs University, Director General for Northeast Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senior Coordinator for Bilateral Trade, Director, Asia-Pacific Trade Division and a few more appointments after he joined the Korean Foreign Service.
