THE housing project launched by the Army under the guidance of Jaffna Commander Major General M Hathurusinghe to provide alternative homes or renovated houses for displaced persons is in progress.
General Officer Commanding 52 Division, Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers that come under the Command of 52 Division made an observation tour to the housing project a few days ago.
They observed that those housing units constructed by different Army units are nearing completion and can be given to those poor families within a short period of time.
