New GOC 54 Division Assumes Duties

Major General Athula Galagamage, the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 54 Division assumed duties recently during a simple ceremony at the 54 Division Headquarters, Mannar.

A Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour presented by the troops of 25 Gemunu Watch saluted the new GOC, 54 Division during the event.

The newly-appointed GOC, Major General Athula Galagamage signed a formal document to signify the acceptance of the new office during the brief ceremony.

Several Senior Officers, including Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and Other Ranks serving under the 54 Division attended the occasion.
