New Commander Makes His Formal Visit to the CDS

Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva made his first formal visit to the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) at the BMICH premises Wednesday (4) afternoon after his assumption of duties as the 21st Commander of the Army.

General Jagath Jayasuriya, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) extended his greetings and best wishes on Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva’s new appointment and assured him of the OCDS support for continuation of his duties as the Commander.

During the brief meeting, matters of relevance and importance to the Army were taken up for discussion before the Commander of the Army, presented a symbolic memento to the CDS as a gesture of goodwill and memory.
