New ARTRAC Hqrs Complex to Expedite Administrative Roles

The new Headquarters building of the Sri Lanka Army Training Command (ARTRAC) at Diyatalawa was ceremonially opened by Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army Saturday (9) morning at the invitation of Commander, ARTRAC, Major General Jagath Alwis. 

A Guard Turnout greeted the day’s Chief Guest at the entrance to the premises as the first item on the agenda. The Commander afterwards at the auspicious minute unveiled a plaque and opened the new ARTRAC Headquarters complex cutting a ribbon amidst chanting of Seth Pirith by members of the Maha Sangha.

Later on, the day’s Chief Guest went round the premises and saw for himself how the building complex has been segmented into various administrative sections. 

Major General Jagath Alwis briefed the Commander on the status quo on the ARTRAC and explained how it would be geared to meet with future challenges. 

The ceremony culminated with a group photo taken with the Commander of the Army.
