New 66 Division GOC Assumes Duties

The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC), 66 Division, Brigadier Deepthi Jayatilaka assumed duties as the 6th GOC of the 66 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Wednesday (11).

A formal Guard Turn Out and a Guard of Honour saluted the new GOC, 66 Division, upon his arrival at the 66 Division Headquarters premises in keeping with military traditions.

Afterwards, amid religious blessings he left his signature for an official document and symbolized the acceptance of his new office. Later, a mango sapling was planted in the premises as a symbol of memory.

All Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks under the 66 Division were present during the occasion.
