New 62 Division Commander Assumes Office

Brigadier Dhammika Jayasingha, the newly-appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) for 62 Division assumed duties on Tuesday (20) at the 62 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W) in Wanni.

A Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour presented by 9 Gajaba Regiment (GR) troops greeted him upon his arrival at the 62 Division Headquarters. Ven Millewe Sumanatissa Thero, Ven. Periyakulame Suguna Thero and Ven. Kudahalmillewe Wanarathana Thero performed religious observances and blessed the occasion. He succeeded Brigadier Sanjaya Wanasinghe.
