New 611 Brigade Commander Assumes Office

The new 611 Brigade Commander, Brigadier W. B. W. M. R. S. P Aluvihare assumed duties on Monday (23) at the Brigade Headquarters in Ichchankulam, Vavuniya.

A formal Guard Turn Out presented by 23 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops greeted him on arrival at the premises after he was received by senior Officers. A few minutes later, he signed a formal document and accepted the new office. He also left memories by planting a sapling in the premises before he addressed the troops.
