Nepal’s Army Chief of Staff, General Gaurav Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana at the invitation of his Sri Lankan counterpart, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, arrived in Sri Lanka on a 6 day official visit Saturday (1) evening.
A red carpet welcome at the Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport greeted him on arrival at the tarmac.
Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army, together with Mrs Damayanthi Ratnayake, President, Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) welcomed General Rana and his spouse Mrs Rohini Rana at the Airport.
After he was ushered to the VIP lounge, preceded by traditional Ves Dancers, the visiting Nepal’s Army Chief and his spouse exchanged greetings with his Sri Lankan counterpart and Mrs Ratnayake.
Before their departure to Colombo, the visiting Army Chief signed the VIP Visitors Book at the lounge.
