To coincide with the Unduwap Full Moon Poya Day (Dec 24), a Bodhi Pooja Pinkama was organized by the troops of the 6 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLACMP) serving under the Security Force Headquarters – Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT).
Major General P.U.S.vithanage, Commander, SFHQ-MLT took part in the arrangement at the MuladeepaVihara.
Ven Dhammarathana Thero of the Buddangala RajamahaVihara, Parakramapura conducted the Dhamma sermon and the invocation of spiritual blessings.
Brigadier R. A. A. A. Perera, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area- Mullaittivu (FMA-MLT) and Senior officers, officers and other ranks participated in the Pinkama.
Meanwhile, training day lectures were also conducted at the SFHQ – MLT on December 23.
Colonel S. Kasthurimudali, Colonel General Staff, SFHQ-MLT together with other senior officers attended the presentation.
Major K. A. Kodikara, 1 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) conducted a lecture on “Principles of Mobile Communication” and Lieutenant M.P.Mataraarachchi, 7 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corp (SLAOC) on “Manufacturing process of tyres, tyre safety and identification of tyre size”.
A total of 50 officers representing Divisions, Brigades and Forward Maintenance Area – Mullaittivu (FMA-MLT) under the SFHQ-MLT attended lecture sessions.
