Under the direction of Security Force Headquarters-Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT), troops coordinated a cash donation for construction of a house to a needy woman, Ms Madavan Sarojana Devi of Nayaru, Vemmalai in Mullaittivu.
The new house sponsored by ‘Siyara’ Construction Company cost Rs 300,000/= and the project was performed by 5 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops who sweated by donating their labour.
Security Force Commander-Mullaittivu, handed over the keys to the recipient after the construction was over during a simple ceremony. Several gift parcels were also delivered to the recipient on the same occasion.
Representatives of ‘Siyara’ Construction Company, senior officers and local government agents participated in the event.
On the same day, another foundation stone was laid for construction of the partly-built Pullayar Kovil at Wattapalai area by the Security Force Commander, Mullaittivu.
