The Army Muay Thai Committee - organized Inter Regiment Muay Thai Tournament was inaugurated on Friday (29) with its first round inside the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment indoor stadium boxing ring.
Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Nirmal Dhramarathna attended the inauguration as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the Army Muay Thai Committee.
20 Regimental teams competed this year in the championship tournament. 120 male and 20 female players took part in this popular Thai boxing technique with 80 rounds in succession. The final week of January 2020 will witness the finals in the tournament.
