As of this morning (30), 11 persons who arrived from overseas were confirmed positive to COVID-19. They are from Lebanon (01) at Punani QC, one (01) from UAE at Brandix Punani QC, seven (7) from Oman at Sirigi Ana QC, Hekiththa QC and Pallekele QC, one (1) from Qatar at Widaththalapei and one (1) from Germany at Periyakadu QC, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By 6.00 this morning (30), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 650.
The flight EK 648 from Dubai with 47 passengers, the flight QR 688 from Doha, Qatar with 03 passengers, the flight UL 605 from Australia with 287 passengers and the flight UL1042 from India with 5 passengers have arrived in Colombo. All of those passengers were referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services after formalities at the airport.
Within the day (30), 343 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes. Of them, 154 persons are from Pompemadu QC, 150 from Rantabe QC, 03 from Periyakadu QC, 23 from Hotel Dolphin, 2 from Jetwing Blue QC,1 from Eco Safari Tissamaharama QC,1 from Pallekele QC, one (1) from Jetwing Beach, 6 from Amagi Arya QC and 02 from Ruwala, Kalpitiya QC.
Likewise, 46,673 individuals by this morning (30) have been sent back home after quarantining. As of this morning (30), 7132 persons in 74 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (29), 1600 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 285,457.
Meanwhile, 20 expatriates infected with COVID-19 epidemic after full recovery left hospitals early this morning (30). All of them are expatriates in quarantine at QCs.
By 6.00 this morning (30), the total number of fully-recovered detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 648.
