More Than 400 Mirusuvil Civilians Given Medical Assistance on the Eve of Christmas

A medical camp, organized jointly by the troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) in collaboration with the ‘Susarana Lanka Social Development Foundation’ (SLSDF) at the Ushan Ramadanhan Vidyalaya, Mirusuvil in Jaffna on Sunday (24), provided medical consultations to more than 400 civilians.

A team of medical consultants from the SLSDF in Kandy came to Jaffna at the request of Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna in order to provide healing treatment to the under-privileged in Mirusuvil area.

Ven. Galahitiyagoda Sumanarathna Thero, President, SLSDF, Dr Anura Rajapaksha, Director, SLSDF, Major General Aruna Vanniarachchi, General Officer Commanding, 52 Division, Doctors, Senior Military Officers, Mr T Sodalingham, Principal, Ushan Ramanadhan Vidyalaya, state officials, civilians and a group of Other Ranks were present during the mobile clinic.

Around 400 People were examined, diagnosed and given free medical treatments during the medical clinic. The arrangement also offered free medical tests for communicable and non-communicable diseases.

The clinic was considered a Christmas gift to those civilians on the eve of Christmas day.
