MIR Colonel of the Regiment Takes Leave of His Troops

Major General A.M Perera, the outgoing Colonel of the Regiment, Mechanized Infantry Regiment (RHQ – MIR) relinquished his office RHQ – MIR in Dambuluhalmillewa on Wednesday (17).    

A Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour to be in line with military formalities presented by the troops at the Regimental Centre, MIR  (RHQ - MIR) saluted the outgoing Colonel of the Regiment.    

On the same day, the newly built Warrant Officers’ mess was ceremonially opened by the outgoing Colonel of the Regiment, MIR.    

The Colonel of the Regiment – MIR, designate Senior officers and officers participated in the event.
