Major General Luiz Ramos, Force Commander to the MINUSTAH, the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Haiti towards the end of his meeting with the visiting Sri Lanka’s Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya using an area map, explained to him where Sri Lankan troops (SRIBAT) have been deployed and how operational duties are performed.
Giving a close look at certain areas where SRIBAT has even been compelled to overcome geographical constraints and conduct operations to apprehend criminals, Major General Ramos had a very relaxed dialogue with the Sri Lankan Army Chief inside the MINUSTAH operation room.
Impressed with the symbolic memento he received from the Sri Lankan visitor, Major General Ramos spoke high of its quality and design and was full of praise to the Commander for selection of his memento.
