MIC New Accommodation Complex Opened

Major General Rukmal Dias, Colonel Commandant of the Military Intelligence Corps (MIC) and the Commander, Security Forces – Central (SF-C) on Thursday (22) went to the MIC Regimental Headquarters at Karandeniya, Galle to open the newly-built accommodation complex for Senior Non Commissioned Officers’ (SNCOs) and meet the troops.

MIC troops upon his arrival at the venue honoured him in accordance with military formalities after he was warmly received by the MIC Centre Commandant.

The visiting Colonel Commandant, MIC as the day’s Chief Guest opened the newly-constructed Senior Non Commissioned Officers’ (SNCOs) accommodation billets by cutting a ribbon and unveiling a plaque. Lighting of the traditional oil lamp signalled the beginning of other formalities.

The MIC Colonel Commandant afterwards inspected newly-opened facilities and spoke to a gathering of MIC, SNCOs including the Regimental Sergeants Major (RSMs) serving the MIC Headquarters.
