Members of the Sri Lanka Army Band added their musical talents to the Lake House - organized ‘Amadahara’ Vesak Zone near the Lake House roundabout Saturday (13) evening by participating in the Vesak Bethi Gee (Devotional Songs) recital before a large gathering of Vesak sightseers.
At the invitation of Lake House authorities, Hon. Ruwan Wijewardene, State Minister of Defence as the Chief Guest attended the inauguration of the recital, together with Lieutenant General Crisanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army as a distinguished guest.
The Army ensemble with their rhythmic melodies showcased their aesthetic talents, along with members of the Lake House staff who also contributed to the recital of devotional songs.
Sri Lanka Army troops are also contributing to island-wide Vesak zones and celebrations in the past three days on the instructions of the Commander of the Army.
