Many Senior Officers also Join Meditation Practice

Directorate of Psychological Operations at the Army Headquarters once again facilitated a group of Army personnel and sailors to take part in another meditation session, organized at the Baunseth Mind Relaxing Meditation Centre, Dekatana on Monday (6).

21 Senior Officers and 56 Other Rankers of the Army, including 11 woman soldiers and 18 sailors attended the meditation programme, conducted by Ven Diyasenpura Wimala Thero, head of the Baunseth Mind Relaxing Meditation Centre, Dekatana.

This was the first time a group of most senior Officers in the Army took part in this routine programme. The programme, organized by the Directorate of Psychological Operations (Psy Ops) under the supervision of Brigadier Athula Hennadige, Director, Psy Ops on a direction given by Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army has attracted a large number of service personnel in recent times.

It has been designed to elevate the spiritual standards as well as mental peace among hardworking tri-service service Officers and Other Ranks.
